Hello, I’m Branwyn Two-Moon of Clan Lightridge, and these are the Ersatz Echoes of Eastfjord Harbor for the week of Aura Waning, 2019.
The last of our groups out on Anchorstone Walk have confirmed they have returned home safely, meaning the citizens of the Pinecrest Valley can communicate with each other better than ever before. Every town and village is checking in with the Eastfjord Harbor town hall once a day, and a number of guard outposts are doing the same. The clerks tasked with tracking these updates are looking for help with the workload if you happen to be looking for a job.
In related news, the team of Champions working to establish Anchorstones for places that don’t have them report they’re about halfway through in terms of number of places to visit, but only about a third of the way done in terms of time. This makes sense as the more outlying locations are particularly distant to each other.
While we did have strong winds with the thunderstorms last week, we were spared the tornadoes and hail… at least in towns. Next week calls for afternoon and early evening isolated thunderstorms as is expected this time of year, but otherwise mostly clear and calm days.
Construction on the Skywatch Academy of Blades is running ahead of schedule despite the weather. Apparently the self-defense courses have proven so popular that a number of kind souls are repaying the training with labor, both in construction and instruction. Alyra Windvale reports that persons skilled in Gnome, Slyph, Salamando, and Dryad magics have volunteered their time to train people in using those magics to defend themselves. Interested parties should contact the Skywatch Academy of Blades for details.
Grand Council elections are being counted as I broadcast, so expect the results next week. Hopefully all other towns are in the process of organizing their own elections – check your town halls and taverns for information!
The Dawnshear Guild announced late this week that they will be beginning exploratory missions into the houndling controlled areas under and around Valleywatch Keep the week of Salamando Resting. This timing will allow those members who went on the Anchorstone Walks some downtime with friends and family as well as the guild plenty of time to get its members into place.
As a matter of full disclosure, I’ve accepted a commission to gate some groups of the guild to the eastern side of Valleywatch Keep.
Don’t forget that tonight is the full moon, so the Shrinewatchers’ League will be out near Wickerby Pond performing the rituals they hope will identify future location of the Shrine of Magic. The League also reports that their members in areas that didn’t get readings helpful in determining location last time around will be working rites to determine the specific time of return. Personally, given the mana spirits’ tendency for dramatics, I’m laying odds on one of the two full moons in the month of Wisp.
