Hello, I’m Branwyn Two-Moon of Clan Lightridge and these are the Ersatz Echoes of Eastfjord Harbor for the week of Wisp Waxing, 2019
Hello new listeners!
We’ve got lots of new arrivals in the region this week, with immigrants and long-term valley residents moving in to both Petrosk and Ocean’s Watch through the gather and beyond.
Eastfjord Harbor itself also welcomed Ilya, the Cordellian ambassador, and her staff with small ceremonies. I got a chance to speak with the ambassador and she assured me that everyone with the Cordellian embassy is prepared for next week’s gather.
The clerks of town hall are getting themselves ahead of the game when it comes to the gather: you can see supports for decorations going up throughout Eastfjord Harbor, though the teams erecting them have also been seen leaving town with their supplies, on foot, on raptor, and by gate. One has to wonder what the council is up to, especially since so many weavers seem to be once again involved in a project.
Hopefully, we find out what’s going on at the gather.
Gneech’s House of Tea and Rico’s Roastery have announced a joint breakfast event in the central square next week on the fifth day, leading up to the gather’s opening ceremonies. They say to expect pancakes, waffles, muffins, biscuits, and unusual fruits and their juices in addition to coffee and tea.
While the early week forecast calls for scattered storms throughout the day, we should be seeing clear skies in Eastfjord Harbor for the gathers. The storms are moving west to east and should clear the region as a whole by the seventh day.
The herald from the capital is apparently gating in on the second day of Wisp Waxing, their departure having been delayed by a reported disagreement over the implications of the wording between the king and queen and their noble advisors.
I am also told that the end result was “What you see see as unintended consequences is in fact our royal will. You may alter the wording, but we will be displeased if you alter the intent of our message.”
I am now very, very curious about herald’s upcoming proclamation.
And still uneasy about the impending full moon. It’s a very strange thing to feel a child’s energetic curiosity and anticipation alongside an adult’s draining concern and caution. I suppose that’s a reflection of who I’ve become. The experiences encountered across life and time truly change us all.
