Episode 39 – Week of Sylph Resting, 2019

Hello, I’m Branwyn Two-Moon of Clan Lightridge and these are the Ersatz Echoes of Eastfjord Harbor for the week of Sylph Resting 2019.

Snow is coming, and it’s coming very soon. Sylph-casters are calling for snow throughout Pinecrest on the fourth day of Sylph Waking.  The valley floor can expect enough to cover one’s toes, while the north and south plateaus should expect enough to cover the ankles of plantigrades – though the amount will diminish as you move east.  Lastly, the foothills should expect enough to cover digitigrade ankles. The fourth and fifth days will be particularly cold, but we’ll merely be cool again by the seventh in all likelihood.

Hopefully, the latest group of dracog puppies due any day now won’t be bothered by the cold.  Irzuka Sharesjoy and her mysterious partner are experienced breeders and I have no doubts that the puppies will be healthy and hale.

I’m told the crops out by Valleywatch Keep are also healthy and hale… in fact, they are more so than expected. Farmers, Gnome-casters, and Dryad-casters are looking into the cause, but initial evaluations show no negative side-effects.

I wonder if anyone has checked with the houndlings.

For those still looking for a reason to celebrate, the last pitch I’ve got for you is the imminent opening of the Skywatch Academy of Blades at the beginning of the week of Sylph Howling.  A joint announcement from Alyra Windvale and Annaliese Skywatch has not only declared a minor festival, open to all, but also confirmed their imminent marriage. Congratulations ladies, we all knew it was coming and we’re glad to have this rumor come true.

Last in the news this week: all towns, villages, and similar save Petrosk and Ocean’s Watch are asked to have their leadership elections complete by the end of the month.  The Fortnight War delayed these critical processes in the development of the region and it is essential they be completed.
