Hello, I’m Branwyn Two-Moon of Clan Lightridge and these are the Ersatz Echoes of Eastfjord Harbor for the week of Dryad Fading, 2020.
The forecast for Spring Breaking calls for warmer days, as one would expect. Still, there is a chance for snow late in the week, so be prepared.
The impending thaw means the Pinecrest Council is looking to hire Gnome, Undine, and Salamando casters to assist with damage prevention and control in the mountains, and many towns and villages are looking for the same kind of workers. Check with your town hall or in your local tavern for details.
Some people have inquired if the Pinecrest Council intends to hold an open meeting next week, while others have asked about the usual gather that is held to welcome spring. While the Pinecrest Council is indeed holding an open council meeting next week in Eastfjord Harbor, the consensus among all councils of Pinecrest is that the energy and effort usually spent in preparing for the spring gather is better used to prepare for the king and queen’s visit During the month of Wisp. While Wisp does seem far away, there’s a lot to do and I advise everyone to heed the adage “Dates on the calendar are closer than they appear.”
I mean really, as of next week we’re a quarter of the way through the year.
One of our re-inhabited ancient Vomba mining towns finally has a name. The town of Tun’s’kirth Va is located some twenty clicks due north of Northpond. According to scholars, the town’s name translates as “The Place Where The Cave Songs Meet”. No one is entirely clear why the town is named such, but efforts are being made to find out.
Lots of people have reached out to me asking about House Edrajii’s plans based on their sponsorship last week. The honest answer is I don’t know. I can make guesses based on what I know about their investments in other areas, but I don’t know. If you want to make those guesses based on your own research, go for it. For the most part, guesses are not news.
The Ersatz Echoes of Eastfjord Harbor are brought to you by Red Wombat Tea Company, purveyors of fine and otherworldly tea. Red Wombat: We Dig Tea.
Also brought to by Ursula’s Seafood Cafe, now open along the southern boardwalk in Eastfjord Harbor.
These have been the Ersatz Echoes of Eastfjord Harbor for the week of Dryad Fading, 2020. Take care, and stay warm.
