Episode 61 – Week of Spring Breaking, 2020

Hello, I’m Branwyn Two-Moon of Clan Lightridge, and these are the Ersatz Echoes of Eastfjord Harbor for the week of Spring Breaking, 2020.

The warming trend continues, but expect overnight light snow late in the week. Gnome, Dryad, and Undine casters are still needed to help mitigate and prevent landslides and flash floods from the melting snow.  Please check in with your town hall if you are willing and able to help.

Overland caravans from the east are coming in in the next two weeks. For those capable of heading rapidly eastward, additional escorts are desired as the cold has taken its toll on a few of the travelers. Herbalists and those with medical experience are also desired. If you’re willing to help, check in with your town halls or guard posts. I will be providing transport from Easfjord Harbor.

For those around Wickerby Pond, the ice is melting, so stay off the ice.  Rescue personnel will do everything in their power to get to anyone in danger, but the happiest rescue personnel are the ones with no stories to tell.

Rescue personnel are also standing by at the Shrine of Magic in case of any emergency transports from the Shrine of Wind in Irized.  Fortunately, they’ve not been needed yet.

The northern harbors are just beginning to thaw, so Eastfjord Harbor remains incredibly busy.  Every warehouse in the city is near-capacity and merchant caravans are doing everything in their power to get goods moving out to their destinations, or at least to better long-term storage.

To the merchants that have not yet approached me about teleporting or gating their goods to far off places, please be aware that I’ve turned down a number of your fellows.  As much as I would like to assist, I would not be able perform any of my duties reliably if I took on even half the requests I’ve received. That said, if there are medical supplies that require time-sensitive transport, please let me know.

The roads on the south side of the valley will see high-volume raptor traffic next week as Reynard’s Raptors bring the bulk of their herds into the stables and ranches near to the larger towns. Next week, the north side of the valley should see the same kind of traffic as the herds make their loop on either end.

The Ersatz Echoes of Eastfjord Harbor are brought to you by Red Wombat Tea Company, purveyors of fine and otherworldly tea. Red Wombat: We Dig Tea.

Also brought to you by Gneech’s House of Tea. We’re proud to have partnered with the Cordellian Embassy to bring you tea from across the sea!  Try the unexpected delight of cinnamon seaweed tea today!

These have been the Ersatz Echoes of Eastfjord Harbor for the week of Spring Breaking, 2020. Take care, stay warm, and stay dry.
